Flying Down to Rio

( Volando hacia Río de Janeiro (1933))

(USA, 1933)

Musical, 89 min, color

Directed by: Thornton Freeland
Cast: Dolores Del Rio, Gene Raymond

The Yankee Clippers get an engagement in Rio de Janeiro, after they are fired from a Miami hotel because bandleader Roger Bond has flirted with Brazilian guest Belinha De Rezende. Roger gets Belinha to accompany him to Rio in his private plane. En route, the two land on a moonlit beach for repairs and have a romantic interlude. However, Belinha is already engaged to Roger's best friend, Julio Rubeiro, who is also in Rio.

An american pilot (Gene Raymond) and a beautiful south american lady (Dolores Del Rio) develop an affectionate relationship. During a discussion he comments that: "You love me, and i love you". She respondes by saying: "You must forget tonight, I'm determined you'll never see me again". He is none too happy with the lady's awkward approach and says: "You'll do just as I say".  At that point she slaps his face, and he respondes to that by putting her across his knee and administering seven firm spanks to her behind.

Gene Raymond puts Delores Del Rio across his knee and spanks her. 7 spanks are administered firmly, all on screen.
