Hombre del bosque, El (1933)

(USA, 1933)

Western, 62 min, b/w

Directed by: Henry Hathaway
Cast: Randolph Scott, Verna Hillie, Harry Carey

When a man is framed with the murder of a beautiful girl's father his pet mountain lion breaks him out of jail and together they kidnap the girl to protect her from the real killers.

This horse opera was based on a story by Western author extraordinaire Zane Grey. A small town in the Old West falls prey to resident creep Clint Beasley after he seizes control of the local saloon. Then the boorish Beasley murders yokel Jim Gaynor, whose sister Alice realizes only one man can -- and must -- stand up to Beasley. It's up to reluctant hero Brett Dale to set things straight.
