In a small town outside of New York
Rober Benchely, high school principal and dabbler in dietetic research, has
family problems with three daughters -- mischievous little Ann Gillis,
stagestruck Anne Gwynne, and personable and quiet Deanna Durbin.
Robert Benchley has an arguement
with his daughter. She runs to her room. Then he warns his two other daughters:
"If you discuss this with anybody I'll spank you, both of you." Both girls reply:
"Yes, pa pa". But the youngest girl (Ann Gillis) can't keep her mouth closed.
She goes to her room and talks to somebody outside: "if you only knew, but if I
tell you pa will spank me". Dad comes in to her room, puts her across his knees
and gives her around 12 spanks to her pyjama covered bottom as she pleades "I
didn't mean to do it, I didn't know what I was doing, aaaooowww."
