Pre-war intelligence man Tommy Blythe interrupts his
honeymoon to investigate the discovery of vital Air Ministry blueprints on a
woman killed in a London road accident. The trail leads to a boarding house in
Notting Hill and its varied tenants.
Quite engaging
comedy-thriller, with entertaining performances and incidents, about a police
detective (Tom Walls) who postpones his honeymoon to book into a boarding-house
to look for a spy. For trying to make Renee Saint-Cyr leave his bedroom, he
tells her that if she doesn't leave within two seconds, he'll put her across his
knee and give her a good spanking! And to demonstrate his threat, he put her
across his knee and smack her four times lightly over her bottom.
