Plot Summary for
Adam's Rib

When a woman attempts to kill her uncaring husband, prosecutor Adam Bonner gets the case. Unfortunately for him his wife Amanda (who happens to be a lawyer too) decides to defend the woman in court. Amanda uses everything she can to win the case and Adam gets mad about it. As a result, their perfect marriage is disturbed by everyday quarrels...

Katharine Hepburn took a good whack from Spencer Tracy. They played lawyers opposing each other on a case and he was resentful of her , and while giving her a rubdown on a massage table, he hauled off and whacked her one. She jumped off the table, furious, snatching the towel around herself and insisting that he "really meant" that slap. His reply: "What, you've got radar back there?".
